Dr. Tucker is a leading international
human resource management consultant, with over forty years experience in
the field. He is well known for his work in intercultural training design,
approaches to human resource issues of business globalization, international executive coaching, and international
assessment. He is the author of the Overseas Assignment Inventory (OAI), and
Tucker Assessment Profile (TAP), which are validated instruments
used to assess, select, and develop personnel and their spouses for international
assignment. He has spoken at numerous international conferences and business
meetings, has been cited in the press and on television, and has written numerous
reports and articles on international human resource management.
Dr. Tucker’s recent publications include a chapter in Evolving Practices in Human Resource Management, on Diversity: Lessons from Global Human Resource Practices; a chapter in Project Management for Space Programs on Managing Projects Across Cultures, a chapter in Politics of Mining: What They Don’t Teach You in School on Intercultural Assessment, Training and Development: A Must for International Assignees the Their Families, and a major article in the International Journal of Intercultural Relations on the Definition, Measurement and Prediction of Intercultural Adjustment and Job Performance Among Corporate Expatriates.
Dr. Tucker is a faculty member for the NASA International Project Management Program (IPM). He has worked with senior international executives at a large number of global companies.
Dr. Tucker has worked in Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Caribbean and Australia, and has lived with his family in Puerto Rico and Brazil. He has extensive experience in Japan, serving on the Board of Directors of INTEC Japan, a joint venture company with Gadelius, Asea Brown Boveri, and Mr. Itoh. He is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and is affiliated with the following:
